Saigyo-Zakura

Shojiji temple belong to the Tendai sect of the Buddhism.
This temple is also known as "Hananotera"(The Temple of Flowers).
There are about 100 cherry trees.
One of cherry trees is called as "Saigyo-Zakura" (Saigyo's cherry tree).
Because it was originally planted by priest Saigyo in 1140.
