Zuihoin Temple is one of the sub-temples of Daitokuji Temple.
It was built in 1535 by Sorin Otomo.
Sorin Otomo is known as a feudal lord who receives the baptism of the Christianity back.
The main hall (called Hojo), the Karamon-gate and Omotem-gate are buildings from time when the temple was established. They are designated as Important Cultural Assets.
Especially, the arrangement of the stone in the Kammintei garden assumes seeing like the cross of the Christianity and is known.
