Kitano Shrine was burnt at the beginning of Muromachi Period. When Kitano Shrine was rebuilt, the tree for construction remained. Seven teahouses were made by using the remaining tree. This is an origin of the Kamishichiken.
The Kamishichiken is oldest geisha district in Kyoto.
"The Kitano Odori" in April is the one here.
The beer garden in summer is installed in the garden of the kaburenjo holl.
