Nashinoki

Nashinoki Shrine was constructed in 1885.
Sanetsumu Sanjo and his son Sanetomi, who rendered distinguished service to the Meiji Restoration, are enshrined here.
The old tearoom was remodeled from the Shinsenden Hall of the Shunkoden (Imperial Sanctuary) building in the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
The water of the Somei in the precincts is one of the three excellent water sources in Kyoto.
Furthermore, this shrine is famous for its hagi (Japanese bush clovers). The shrine is crowded with a large number of worshippers during the Hagi Festival, which is held between the middle and end of September every year.
