This temple is one of the sub temple of the Shorinin temple.
It was founded in 1013 to propagate "Shomyo".
"Shomyo" is a style of Japanese Buddhist chant.
"Kisshinen" is the stroll garden around the pond. Water for its pond is drawn from a nearby streem.
"Kisshinen" garden has the tea ceremony house "Rikakuan".
One of the best vantage points for viewing the garden is from "Rikakuan".
