Oishi Yoshio was enshrined here in the 10th year of Showa (1935).
Every year on April 14th at the Spring Grand Festival, and on Uchiiri-no-hi (the day of the attack), December 14th, his noble deeds are commemorated.
In 1702, Oishi formulated his plan for the day of the attack on Kira mansion. He gathered his comrades who were willing to travel secretly with him to Edo. In the same year, Oishi divorced his wife and disowned his children, and left for Edo.
