Iwayaji, also known as Oishi-dera Temple.
In precincts in this temple, there was a retreat of Oishi Yoshio.
The Daishofudomyoo statue of the Buddha housed in the temple's main hall, considered to be the work of Chisho Daishi, is said to have been the personal devotional Buddha of Oishi Yoshio.
The Mokuzodo hall, built in 1901, contains a mortuary tablet for Asano Takumi-no-kami as well as wooden statues and mortuary tablets for the forty-seven ronin and assorted personal effects of Oishi Yoshio.
The Gishiki ceremony is performed on December 14.
