This temple belong to Myoho-in temple. The formal name of this temple is Renge-o-in.
Originated from the building which the shogun Tairano-no-kiyomori built in the “Hojuji Palace” in 1164.
The main hall is home to 1032 designated National Treasures and Important Cultural Assets.
The thousand-armed Goddess of Mercy is designated as National Treasure.
The gods of wind and thunder are designated as National Treasure.
Every New Year a Japanese archery tournament is held in the main hall.
