Rakushisha was the hemitage of Kyorai Mukai(1651-1704).
He was one of the main disciples of famous haikai poet Basho Matsuo.
At that time, a lot of haikai poets visited here.
And, here became like the center of haikai poets.
Basho visited here, too.
In 1691, Basho Matsuo wrote "Saga Diary" on a visit here.
