Horinji

In 713 Horinji Temple was built by the monk Gyoki.
In 829 monk Dosho restored the temple and enshrined the Kokuzo Bodhisattva.
In 874 once its buildings were completed, the temple's name was changed from Kazunoidera to Horinji.
The principal image in this temple is a statue of Kokuzo Bosatsu. And It is also called "Saga's Kokuzo-san".
In the event of this temple, Jusan-mairi is known.

It is said that the profit of wisdom and happiness will be given by visiting.
