This temple is the one of the sub temple of the Nanzenji temple.
lt was built as a dedication to the founder of the Nanzenji，Daiminkokushi Mukanfumon.
This temple was destroyed by fire during the Onin War, and rebuilt in 1602 by Hosokawa Yusai.
This temple has the stroll garden around the pond "Nantei" and the dry landscape garden "Higashitei".
