Sen-oku Hakuko Kan, known as the Sumitomo Collection, exhibits and preserves art objects which have been collected by the Sumitomo family. Today, exhibitions are held in both Kyoto and Tokyo so that more people will be able to enjoy these works.
The Sumitomo Collection is famous for its ancient Chinese bronzes and mirrors, which were collected during the period from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. It is regarded worldwide as one of the best collections outside of China in its quality and quantity.
