This temple belong to the Kenpon Hokke branch of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism.
It was originally built in 1383 by Priest Nichiju in the Muromachi area.
This temple was moved to its present site from Teramachi Nijo in 1968.
The Yukinoniwa Garden in this temple is beautiful at each season.
The main attraction is the Indian style Busshari Tower.
The temple also possesses a bell which was formerly used in Dojoji temple in wakayama prefecture.
