Konkai Komyo-ji

This temple was founded in 1175 by priest Honen, when he established his own Jodo sect.
This temple is one of the main temples of the Jodo sect of the Buddhism.
It is commonly known as 'Kurodani'.
This temple has thrived as a training center of 'the Nennbutsu'.
'Nennbutsu' means the chanting of prayers to Buddha.
